Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026Faceva (“Faceva”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a private personal-data dashboard that lets an individual bring their own official data exports and authorized connections into a single place they control. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have. It applies to the Faceva web application at https://www.faceva.org and related services.
Faceva is built around one principle: your data is yours. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We access it only to provide the features you ask for.
Information we collect
What comes inWe collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in, we receive a basic identifier from your login provider (for example, your email address and a unique account ID) so we can create and secure your account.
- Data you import. Faceva lets you upload official data exports (such as calendar, activity, health, or transaction exports) and manually enter events. This content is stored in your account so the dashboard can display it back to you.
- Data from connections you authorize. If you connect a third-party service (such as Google Calendar), we access only the data that connection permits and only after you grant consent. You can disconnect at any time.
- Technical information. Like most web services, our infrastructure processes limited technical data (such as request logs and error diagnostics) needed to operate the service securely and reliably.
We only ask for the data needed to power features you choose to use. You are never required to connect a service or upload an export.
How we use your information
Why we hold it- To provide the dashboard, display your imported data, and compute the summaries and views you request.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the reliability of the service.
- To communicate with you about your account or important service changes, when necessary.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Google user data
Limited UseIf you connect a Google account, Faceva requests read-only access to your Google Calendar (the calendar.readonly scope) together with your basic profile identifiers (openid, email). We use this access solely to read your calendar events and display them inside your own Faceva dashboard and derived views. We never modify or delete your Google Calendar data.
Faceva’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, for security, or to comply with applicable law.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security or to comply with law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
You can revoke Faceva’s access at any time from within Faceva or from your Google Account permissions page.
How we store and protect your data
SecurityYour data is stored with a reputable cloud infrastructure provider. Data is isolated per account so that each user can only access their own workspace, and access credentials and tokens are stored in protected server-side storage. Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS, and access tokens for connected services are held only in secured server-side records.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
Sharing and disclosure
Who else sees itWe do not sell your data. We disclose personal data only in these limited cases:
- Service providers. We rely on infrastructure and hosting providers who process data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, solely to run the service.
- With your direction. When you explicitly export or share your own data.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.
Data retention and deletion
Your controlWe keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete imported data from within the app, disconnect any connected service, and request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at ionrutz@gmail.com. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from active systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
Access & portabilityDepending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for connected services. Faceva is designed to make this easy: you can export your data and revoke connections directly in the app. To exercise any right that is not self-serve, contact us at ionrutz@gmail.com.
Children’s privacy
AgeFaceva is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
UpdatesWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of Faceva after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
